WwSherrard Academic Foundation Classroom Grant Application 

The Sherrard Academic Foundation is pleased to award classroom grants within the Sherrard School District each year for the purpose of supplementing funds for classroom activities that would not otherwise be available and to support Sherrard educators in their efforts to promote excellence in their classrooms.

Numerous donations have been made to the Sherrard Academic Foundation to support these classroom grants.  In addition, the following generous gift helped to make these grants possible: 

  • The Richard and Babe Duty Memorial Fund for Elementary Education Classroom Grant of $2,500

The grants will be awarded, based on merit, by a committee designated by the Foundation.  Individual grants could range in dollar amounts up to $1,000.

To apply for a grant, the teacher must complete the Google form application and submit it no later than Friday September 25th, 2026.  Ideally, funds requested should be used for tangible items to benefit students in the classroom during the current school year and, hopefully, for years to come.  Also this year, we will be granting a limited number of $25 gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers. The funds requested through the grant process cannot be used for the following: field trips or activities taking place outside the classroom, whiteboards, items able to be purchased through district funds (please discuss with your building principal), or Kahoot Premium.

The grant recipients will be notified by the end of October 2026. Purchase orders for the approved items and invoices, along with other supporting documents, should be submitted to the unit office for payment by December 11th, 2026.
