Together for Development UWC Short Course in eSwatini 2020: Programme Coordinator Applications
Together for Development (TfD) Short Course in eSwatini aims to offer a transformational and inspiring journey for youth from around the world in the spirit of peace and collaboration for a better future. This short course focuses on exploring the concept of International Development, including its history, different approaches and theories, its problems and successes. It explores this through a variety of lenses, including the arts, activism, health, as well as peace and conflict, to name a few. This journey will allow participants to immerse themselves in the culture of the Kingdom of eSwatini as well as engage with youth from around the world.

Role description: Programme Coordinator
- Help develop, prepare, and run the Short Course programme (develop content for sessions, facilitate sessions)
- Take part in the preparatory tasks of the Short Course as necessary (e.g. advertising, media outreach, logistical arrangements, etc.)
- Support and share responsibility for the wellbeing of all the participants for the duration of the short course
- Uphold an open and caring course environment. This may include using mediation and conflict resolution to address tensions whenever necessary.
- Ensure smooth daily running of the Short Course. This may include collaborating with others to find creative solutions to unexpected problems.

Please note:
- The course will take place from 17 August 2020 to 30 August 2020. Coordinators are expected to arrive on 14 August 2020 and depart in the afternoon or evening of 31 August 2020.
- We are looking for a team of 2-3 Programme Coordinators
- All positions are volunteer roles. All coordinators will receive up to a $500 budget for travel (if needed). In addition, accommodation, food, and other essential costs during the Short Course will be covered.
