Opportunities to Care for our Foster Families
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with our growing number of foster families at Gospel Community Church! Village434, the foster and adoptive ministry at Gospel, has two separate ways for you to support. The needs will fluctuate based on needs of the families, but by signing up you'll be able to truly be a part of their village and the incredible work the Lord is doing in and through these families.
Please choose one.
Option 1 is less hands-on and is more focused on meeting tangible needs, which will be sent out via email.
Option 2 is more hands-on and allows you to be directly involved in caring for our foster families through what is called a Care Community.
Thank you so much for being a part!

SUPPORT OPTION NUMBER TWO
If you sign up for this option, you are wishing to join what is a called a Care Community. A Care Community is a structured circle of support wrapped around each foster family. (You'll also receive the same emails that Option 1 volunteers receive.)
These are the roles in each Care Community:
Team Leader
Can you coordinate and communicate? Your job is to check in weekly with the foster family and communicate prayer requests to the rest of the team.
Family Helper
Would you be able to bring a meal to the family once a month and maybe help with some other practical tasks here and there?
Child Mentor
Can you commit to providing childcare OR transportation at least two times per month, with at least one of those being a scheduled one-on-one time?

(Please note: it may be awhile before you hear anything from us as far as when you'll begin your Care Community duties, because it's all dependent on when children arrive in homes and no one knows that for sure.)
