Midreshet Avigayil 2017 Application
Midreshet Avigayil is an intense Talmud program for high school girls who love intellectual challenges and have the ability and ambition to learn Talmud at the highest level. Our aim is to close the educational gap between men and women in Talmud study and to build a close fellowship of young talmidot chakhamot who will continue to learn with each other throughout the year.

Midreshet Avigayil will run August 13-24, 2017. Meals are included and housing will be provided in the community. Tuition is set at $1200, but we are committed to ensuring that students can attend regardless of their economic situation.

Applicants will be self-motivated Torah learners, with demonstrated dedication to Torah learning and some facility reading both Hebrew and Aramaic. While in attendance, students are expected to behave in accordance with Orthodox practice.

We will contact you shortly after you submit your application to arrange a phone interview. The interview will begin with study of a Jewish text you have prepared. Please contact us if more than a week passes after your application without hearing from us.

If accepted, you will be asked to provide a medical form and a contract attesting to your willingness and ability to be a full participant in the program.

Midreshet Avigayil is headed by the Dean of the Center for Modern Torah Leadership, Rabbi Aryeh Klapper, with an array of distinguished guest lecturers. Ms. Davida Kollmar will serve as Administrator. Please email us at moderntorahleadership@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward very much to receiving your application and to learning Torah together with you.
