Breakout Session Presenter Guidelines:

Breakout sessions are an opportunity for your council to highlight and share something unique and amazing you are doing with the rest of the state.

IASC and the U of I will be able to provide you with internet access, a projector and screen, but presenters must provide a laptop.

Our breakout sessions are scheduled for 25 minute presentations with a 5 minute passing/presenter set-up window.  Please make every effort to ensure the entire time is used effectively and abide by this schedule. (Including an opportunity for a question and answer time with your audience.)  In the past, IASC has encountered some difficulties with a few student councils that have either had very little to present or released their breakout session attendees prior to the completion of their 30 minute time allotment.  This has led to some discipline issues for the conference in the facility..

Each breakout session should include an interactive element with the audience.  Please actively engage the students attending your breakout session, rather than using strictly a lecture model.

The Student Council Advisor/or School Adult should be present in the room when their student council is presenting.

**If you will be using an Apple product/computer please bring the necessary adaptor to connect to an HDMI cord.
