'WHEN BROOKYN WAS QUEER' is rebelling and reclaiming space through immersive storytelling—bringing queer history to life like never before.  New Canvas, PAGEBOY and MA Productions are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive virtual showcase on February 25, 2025 at - 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm GMT / 11pm SAST,   of When Brooklyn Was Queer, an immersive VR experience based on Hugh Ryan's book of the same name, that reclaims and reimagines Brooklyn’s untold LGBTQ+ history. But this project is about more than just VR—it’s about uplifting and preserving queer stories in all their forms. We will not be silenced!

🔥 Moderated by Kent Bye creator and host of the Voices of VR Podcast, this interactive hour-long virtual event in VRChat @ Agog House is helping to fuel a movement to meet this moment, while celebrating immersive storytelling and the power of community. Join us for a conversation with the visionary team behind this groundbreaking project and a ‘first look’ tease at the project’s creative vision for the forthcoming, full length 20 minute pilot.

We’ll dive into the artistic and technical innovations behind this immersive experience, why these stories are more urgent than ever and what's next for the project.
