Michael Donoghue Freedom of Information Award
The New England First Amendment Coalition honors each year individuals who have promoted and defended the First Amendment throughout the region and advocated for the public's right to know about government.
The Michael Donoghue Freedom of Information Award is to be given to a New England journalist or team of journalists for a body of work from the previous calendar year that protects or advances the public’s right to know under federal or state law. Preference will be given to those who overcome significant official resistance.
