We are looking for fun, energetic, reliable people to join our team this Summer! We have various opportunity for work between our two summer camp programs, the Hard'ack Pool and the Welden Theatre. Currently we are looking for people who are interested in being a camp counselor at our Day Camp at Hard'ack (grades K-6) or working at our Travel Camp (ages 13-15), or joining the team at the Welden Theatre. Day Camp Counselor:
Our Day Camp runs Monday-Friday from June 17th, 2024 - August 23rd, 2024.
Counselor hours are 7:15am - 4:30pm.
Counselors should enjoy being in the company of children in grades K-6, love the outdoors, have great communication skills, patience, problem solving, and exert leadership capabilities.
Counselors will be outside and active ALL day long.
We are looking for people of ALL experience levels, as we are hiring for various positions within camp.
MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD OR OLDER TO APPLY.
-Supervises campers and ensures their safety and general well-being.
-Maintains a schedule for camp participants
-Lead various small and large group activities
-Ensure the cleanliness of the site
-Mediate any camper disputes
-Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including knowing the whereabouts of your campers at all times.
-Make sure that campers are having FUN!
Teen Adventure Camp Staff:
Our Teen Adventure Camp runs Monday-Thursday from June 24, 2024 - August 1st, 2024.
Staff hours are 7:15am - 4:30pm.
Staff should have experience working with the teenager age group (ages 13-15) and be up for daily adventures!
Staff will be physically active (hiking, biking, traveling) and engaged with the teens.
MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD OR OLDER TO APPLY.
-Supervises campers and ensures their safety and general well-being.
-Engage in all activities that camp participates in.
-Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including knowing the whereabouts of your campers at all times.
-Supervises teens and ensures their safety and general well-being.
Welden Theatre Staff:
The Welden Theatre is located at 104 North Main Street, St. Albans VT. Currently the theatre is open Wed-Sun but this summer we are looking to expand our schedule since children will be out of school.
Shifts are generally 12pm-9pm but can be broken up.
Start date is flexible, however we are hoping to be open 7 days a week starting in June.
MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD OR OLDER TO APPLY.
Duties include:
- Selling concessions and tickets, should be comfortable handling cash/operating a cash register
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of the theatres
- Monitoring the theatres during the shows, make sure the sound/picture is running smoothly and also ensuring the audience has their phones away, aren't being too loud, etc.
