PMAF Entertainer Application
The Purcellville Music and Arts Festival is a community event designed to feature a variety of music and other types of entertainment. The main stage provides a venue for the headliner bands selected by the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Three additional stages (Second Stage, Community Stage, and the indoor Art Show Stage) provide performance space for multiple musical genres and other styles of performing arts. Festival performances range in time from 30 to 60 minutes.

The Festival provides performers with an excellent venue and broad exposure. Acts that are selected for the Festival will be promoted on the web site, in social media, and in print. In most cases, a professional sound engineer, PA and monitor system will be provided on all stages and if possible a basic stage gear (backline) will be provided that will accommodate most line‐ups.

The 2017 Purcellville Music and Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, May 20th.

The Entertainment Selection Process
Prospective performers are requested to submit an application by the application due date of February 15, 2017
. An entertainment subcommittee of the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Board evaluates all applications and selects performers based on a number of criteria. All performers will receive notification by March 6, 2017. Many factors are considered in the final selection of performers including the number of applicants, the variety of entries, the genre of music, the completeness of the application, and the quality of the act.

Upon notification, successful applicants, will be required to submit additional information including a signed performance contract and the submission of an Internal Revenue Form 1099.

Prior to the Festival, performers will receive a copy of the stage schedule and be provided with instructions for arrival, set up, tear‐down, and other logistics, including an adverse weather plan. If you wish to submit all or a portion of your application in hard copy format, please submit it to Melanie Scoggins at the address provided below.
