Dear parents,

On Thursday 16 December we will be holding an amended Year 6 Graduation and Duty Awards Ceremony within the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Education. In order to help us with planning this event in the safest way possible, please fill out the short survey below by Friday 3 December. It is essential you respond, even if your child is not attending, as we need to know exactly who will be attending the ceremony.

Whilst we understand parents wish to attend this ceremony, the advice we have received this morning from the Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Education is that we are unable to have parents onsite for this event. We have also looked at the option of having the ceremony professionally recorded again we are unable to do so as we are not allowed to have non-essential visitors onsite. However, the ceremony will be livestreamed on a private link, sent to parents the day before. The livestream will also be recorded for later access by parents. This means all children attending will be filmed as they receive their certificate.

During the ceremony all Year 6 students will receive their Graduation Certificate and school leavers' gift. Duty awards will also be given out at this time. As a reminder, we are unable to present academic awards this year due to the nature of the extended lockdown.

Students may attend just for the Graduation Ceremony or for the full school day, whichever is most convenient for you. Whichever option you choose, all students will need to arrive at school between 8:30am and 9:00am.

The ceremony will begin at 9:30am. Students who are only attending for Graduation will be dismissed from school at 11:00am. Students spending the full day will be dismissed between 2:30pm and 3:00pm as usual.

More information about the Graduation day will be communicated to you by the classroom teacher closer to the day.
