The
Inaugural D.E. Smith Institutional Excellence Fundraiser will start on
February 23rd and end
July 3rd.
D.E. Smith Institutional Excellence is a non-profit focused on educating and serving the community. This entity was founded in honor of Darryl Eugene Smith, a truly upright man that loved engulfing himself in life's possibilities, demonstrated strength and resiliency when faced with adversity and had a passion to educate and serve others in his community.
The fundraiser is an annual event to solicit for monetary donations to support services provided by D.E. Smith Institutional Excellence. More specifically, these monetary resources will allow obtainment of supplies to conduct
academic and professional development activities with youth ranging from 6 to 18 years of age. Additionally, the organization can support
personnel leading community engagements, as it relates to science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematical education, mentorship, promoting entrepreneurship, establishing a sense of belonging and positive mental/physical health, understanding the importance of stewardship and "best practices" to successfully prepare for "top tier" universities/colleges. The non-profit also supports the youth by providing $1000 scholarship(s), annually, for individuals that strive to overcome adversity, excel academically and serve their
community. Thus, we need your help!
We need your assistance in reaching our fundraising goal of $20,000, this year. All contributions to the non-profit are tax deductible and will go towards supporting our efforts to improving the success of our youth, academically and professionally. Our services holistically focus on the next generation of leaders to increase their confidence and empower them with knowledge. Subsequently, making the world more beautiful by broadening the intellectual diversity.
