Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art Classroom Residency
The Leslie-Lohman Museum residency program is a multiple visit program. The 4 session residency includes 3 sessions facilitated in the school classroom by a museum educator and a fourth one at the museum. Sessions are planned in conjunction with the GSA coordinators and/or school teachers and are designed to address the interests of the students. The curricula that we offer is centered around three themes: Art and Identities, Art and Activism, and Art and Queer history. Artwork from our collection serves as spring-board for conversations and art-related activities in the classroom.  During the session when the students visit the museum they explore works of art in the collection related to the curriculum or the current exhibitions. They also have the opportunity to share with their peers the work that they created during the residency.
