Registration to Participate in Research Studies with the Online Child Lab
We would like to invite you to join our database of parents and children aged 3-14 years, who might be interested in participating in research studies.

This database is used by researchers at the University of York to invite potential research participants to future research studies they might be eligible to participate in.

If you choose to be added to our list of potential research participants, we will ask you to answer a few personal questions (see below). You are free to leave a blank answer if you prefer not to answer a question. These answers will be saved in our database.

You can ask for your and your child's details to be removed from the database at any time by contacting the Online Child Lab research team (psych-online-child-lab@york.ac.uk) or Bailey House (bailey.house@york.ac.uk). Once your child reaches 16 years of age, we will ask for contact details in order to contact them directly to obtain their consent for continuing to participate in the database.

In some cases, your child's responses during our studies may be of interest to future researchers affiliated with the Online Child Lab. May we ask you in the future for consent to use your child's responses as part of future studies? This will allow us to understand how children's understanding of the world changes across time. You can take still take part in a current study even if you do not want to be contacted in the future about using your data in future studies.
