Thanks for your interest in becoming a Member of the International Astronomical Union Centre for the Protection of the Dark and Quiet Sky from Satellite Constellation Interference (CPS)!
The CPS has two categories of individual membership:
Contributing Members, who commit specific resources to the implementation of the CPS Master Working Plan, and
Affiliated Members, who also contribute to the achievement of the CPS objectives, albeit with no firm commitments.
If your application is successful, you will initially become an Affiliated Member of the CPS. This will grant you access to our Slack Workspace, you will be included in our email distribution lists, and you will be invited to participate in the Hub(s) you joined.
If you indicate that you wish to become a Contributing Member, you will be contacted by the leaders of the Hubs you select to discuss what type of contribution you can provide and agree on specific tasks. After an agreement is reached, you will be recognised as a Contributing Member of the CPS and your name will be added to the list of Contributing Members on our website.
The data collected by this form will be used exclusively by the CPS Management Team and Hub Leads and will be protected from any unauthorized access. The GDPR responsible is the CPS Director. By submitting the questionnaire, you agree with the above described use of the data.
