Working throughout the world - with HQ offices in Paris and London, and over 20 Chapters worldwide - we rely on our local chapters to provide a unique, curated insight and active response to the problems refugees face in their countries. Our chapters have held hackathons in Amman in partnership with UNICEF Jordan, in Hungary tackling security issues and Fellowships for Women in France providing weekly mentorship, training and networking.
> Our Chapters have two main objectives every year:
1. Work with displaced people, NGOs, local governments and other key stakeholders to identify problem statements.2. Hold hackathons, workathons, fellowships, partnership events and other projects to solve these problems.
Supported from HQ with a wealth of experience, expertise and tools including guidelines, templates, training and network, our chapters join our Techfugees international family.
> Opening a Techfugees chapter requires the following:
1. Team of at least 2/3 people2. Individuals dedicate as an average 5 hours per week3. A long-term strategy and vision4. A real passion for empowering displaced people5. Proficiency in the local language
