Location: The Basement Gold Coast Arts Centre

Embark on a journey through French songs on the 20th century! Hear stories of French singers and songwriters such as Piaf, Brassens and Gainsbourg, learn French lyrics and sing along with Mzaza’s singer Pauline and the band’s wonderful instrumentalists!  This workshop is open to individuals and community choirs.

Then on Sunday 10th September at the Paradise Room, The Arts Centre, we'll have a rehearsal, soundcheck and then invite you to perform one of the songs we've learnt with Mzaza during our show Children of the Road .

If you would like to participate please fill in this Registration Form by 1 June.  In June we'll email you recordings and lyrics so you can familiarise yourself with what we're going to learn. We are inviting several local community choirs to be involved and we have a maximum of 30 participants so be quick to register!​  

The workshop is free and the Arts Centre is offering participants a two-for-one ticket deal to the show.
