Volunteer registration Explosion Labs VBS 2020
Life is filled with crazy times, but God is with us all the way!
Now more than ever families need the HOPE that only JESUS can give!
VBS will be Monday-Wednesday evening, June 13th through 15th from 6:30-8pm
Volunteers are needed for Set Up Crew, Clean Up Crew, Mad Scientist, Registration, and Family Partners.
Set Up Crew: 5pm daily to set up stage, registration tables, and activities.
Clean Up Crew: 815pm daily to clean up experiments and activities.
Registration: 5:30 daily to sit at a table and greet families and make sure we have the contact information needed. This crew will hand out name tags, lab coats and safety glasses as well.
Family Partners: This person will accompany children to VBS whose parents are unable to attend because they are working or otherwise unavailable. They will stay with one small group of kids (likely siblings) each night. (They will not be able to social distance from their group of kids)
Mad Scientist: We need at least 15 small group leaders! This person will be the leader to help families play games and do the science experiments. All lessons will be done large group style with Kandice leading. These guys will lead a short discussion time with the families about the evenings lesson.
WE WILL DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO SOCIAL DISTANCE AND KEEP EVERYONE HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO COME TO THIS EVENT BUT WANT TO HELP OUT FROM HOME, LET US KNOW. WE CAN BRING THINGS TO YOU TO PREP OR MAIL OUT.
6:45-7:05 Large group lesson (demonstrate experiment)
7:05-7:25 Science experiment, one per person or family depending on experiment
7:25-7:45 Small Group Discussion leading experiment back to the Big Idea
THERE WILL BE A VOLUNTEER TRAINING ON JULY 9TH.
Volunteers can choose a 1pm or 7pm training.
This VBS will look different! We need to meet ahead of time. If you are unable to attend on July 9th, please get with Kandice before July 1st to make alternative arrangements.
