NIRSA Emeritus Membership Application

Current NIRSA members who are retired or retiring, with at least ten years of Professional Membership, Life Membership, or Honorary Membership in the Association at the time of retirement shall be eligible for Emeritus Membership. Emeritus Members have all rights and privileges of Professional Members, including the right to hold office, but are not required to pay membership dues.

Professional involvement with NIRSA is scored on a 100-point scale. Applicants must score a minimum of 75 points total to be eligible for Emeritus Membership.

Please have on hand your years of membership, volunteer service history and a list of awards you've received, in preparation to fill out this application.

Please Note:

Career changes can affect eligibility for membership. In the case of no longer qualifying, Emeritus Membership may be suspended. Individuals will be given the opportunity to purchase the correct membership. If employment status changes to once again qualify for Emeritus Membership, it will be reinstated upon request.
