Robin Russo lives in Bradford, Vermont where she teaches spinning, felting, dyeing, and working with exotic fibers. She has been teaching since 1989 at gatherings of spinners, weavers, knitters, and historical societies. She has been a fiber enthusiast for more than forty years and takes every opportunity to explore its potential.

September 17 will cover the actual process and the worms: we do reeling and mawata making and we examine silk threads and fabrics under magnification. In the p.m. we spin and spin and spin.
September 18 will be felting with silk in the a.m. and silk paper making in the afternoon.
2 day workshop for members $80 plus $40 materials fee.
2 day workshop for non members $110 plus $40 materials fee.
1 day workshop for members $60 plus $20 materials fee.
1 day workshop for non members $85 plus $20 materials fee.
Cost to become a member $20 (just $10 youth through 21)
A brief business meeting will be held at lunch time likely on Sunday. All are welcome join business meeting. Voting is a member privilege.
No full scholarships will be available for this workshop. We will have a class of Putney School students joining us on Saturday morning. They are welcome to pay the fee if they wish to attend one or two full days. We are covering the cost for Saturday morning in return for the use of the space on campus.
Registration in advance is required as space is limited to 30 people per day and we have 18 left on Saturday. If you are planning to attend please register by September 15. We can do a few last minute registrations but please be kind and register as soon as you can.
Checks should be made out to River Spinners, please send checks to our treasurer, River Spinners, c/o Leslie Markey, PO Box 91, East Dover VT 05341-0091, PayPal option is also available (only until 9/12 to allow time to transfer funds) and we voted at our March 2016 business meeting to pass on a 3% fee to the participants. Space is only secured when payment is received. Detailed directions will follow with confirmation upon receipt of payment.
100% refund (minus PayPal fee if incurred) prior to August 24; 50% August 25-September 4; 0% September 5, and after unless your seat is filled in which case a full refund (minus PayPal fee) is issued - for this reason refunds will happen after the event.
