RTO7 is hosting a special information session for tourism stakeholders across BruceGreySimcoe.
The Rural Ontario Development Program offers cost-shared funding to strengthen rural economies and support business growth, workforce development and community infrastructure. For the tourism sector, this could include projects that help small tourism businesses expand or improve their operations, rehabilitate tourism and recreational assets, enhance trails and wayfinding, address workforce challenges, or advance regional tourism initiatives. Eligible small businesses with 1 to 20 employees may receive up to 35% of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $10,000, while municipalities, not-for-profit organizations and other eligible community applicants may qualify for larger amounts under the program’s community development streams.
