This three-part series on de-escalation and self-defense will bring together parents, education advocates, and community members to build practical skills in how we stay safe and support one another.
Across sessions, we'll share trauma-informed discussions and learn tools for navigating challenging situations, whether in parent-teacher meetings or everyday interactions. The series will center on situational awareness, verbal and physical de-escalation, basic self-defense techniques, and strategies for responding when harm is happening in your community, along with grounding practices to support resilience.
While attendance of each session can stand on its own, the series is designed to build over time. We encourage you to attend as many as you can.
Each participant 10 years and older must register separately.
