Panelised construction is one of the types of off-site construction. The primary purpose of this research is to identify how the panelised construction complies with the New Zealand building code. Moreover, to devise a flow chart to outline the current process of consents and inspections for prefabricated residential units using the panelised construction technique. The flow chart could be used as an assessment form by the contractors/builders to check the compliance of panelised components used in residential units during the procurement and construction stages.
