Illinois FFA State Chorus Application
Chorus Director: Robert Eckert
Email: reckert@hscud5.org

Audition tapes are not required for State applications.

Commitment if you are accepted as a member of the Illinois FFA Chorus:
1) The 2026 Illinois FFA Convention will be held in the Bank of Springfield Center, Springfield, Illinois -- June 9 -11, 2026.
2) All chorus members must plan to be present no later than 10:00a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. You are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances on time.
3) Please DO NOT apply for membership in Chorus AND Band. Apply for only one.
4). You will not be able to sing in the chorus and take part in other convention activities which would prevent you from attending rehearsals. Activities such as band, official delegate work, courtesy or usher corps, etc. will conflict with scheduled activities.
5) If you complete an application, be sure you will be able to attend if selected and  make every effort to fulfill your commitment. Failing to show up deprives other students from performing in the chorus.
6) If you are selected, you will need to bring your own black pants/skirt, white shirts/blouses, FFA tie/scarf, and FFA jacket, as all performances are in Official Dress.
7) All students applying for National Chorus must serve in the Illinois FFA Convention Chorus.
8) The deadline date for Chorus entries is April 15, 2026. The Chorus will be formed before May 1, 2026 and you will be notified shortly thereafter if you are accepted. Audition tapes are not required for a State Chorus application, but will be required if you are selected as a National FFA Chorus candidate.
9) We will accept more than one application from Chapters.

If you are accepted as a member of the chorus, it will be taken for granted that you will attend ALL rehearsals and ALL performances. I hope that this year we can keep up the fine work of past years. Please fill out and return your applications promptly.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. This includes the endorsements from your music director, advisor, etc.
