Trans Microgrant Application

The Casper Pride Trans Microgrant's purpose is to reduce financial burdens for Trans and Non-Binary people in Natrona CountyThe funds from the grant help people in our community get access to gender-affirming care, have their chosen names legally recognized, and more!

Requirements:
 

1) Applicant must identify as transgender/non-binary. 
2) Applicant must reside in Natrona County. 
3) Applicant must be 18 or older for general funds. Applicant can be 16+ for legal name changes.

How do we determine identities? We trust our community’s ability to self-identify when it comes to gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, ability and financial situation. Please respect this resource for our community to ensure that it continues. 

What are you funding? We are offer up to $200 through microgrants for emergency funding requests which are paid out to the recipient. Receipts must be available upon request for all funding requests paid out to recipients. At this time, we are accepting applications to fully fund legal name changes for individuals 16 and older. Parent or guardian consent will be required for applicants who are minors. Funding will cover court filing fees and required newspaper notices. Limited legal assistance may also be available, subject to availability and upon confirmation by the attorney that there is no conflict of interest. The attorneys providing these services are not employees of or affiliated with Casper Pride and the scope of their engagement will be limited to preparing court filings and providing guidance on where and how to file the documents.

How soon will I hear? Applications are reviewed quarterly with determination and payment made within 30 days of the quarter’s end. Quarters end March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st. 

Do you approve applications faster than quarterly? Yes, by request. Please select the checkbox at the end of the form to have your application reviewed as soon as possible due to a funding emergency. 

How are applications reviewed? Applications are reviewed by the Casper Pride Trans Committee. Submissions will be made anonymous during the review process.

If additional information is required after your application has been submitted, a member of the Trans Microgrant Fund committee will contact you via email or the phone number you provided. Funding is not guaranteed. Casper Pride reserves all rights to approve or deny for any reason.
