Theatre Prospero Artist in Residence Questionnaire
This form will serve as a place for us to collect information about your school and what you hope to achieve with an Artist in Residence program.

The Residency will take place sometime during the 2022/2023 school year. You can request an in-person or virtual residency.

The cost of this program is dependant on a variety of factors, such as length, how many artists would be involved, etc. We will collaborate with you to figure out what will work best within your budget.

The Government of Alberta provides financial support for Alberta schools for this program (50%-75% of our fee would be covered through this funding), and we would help you submit the application. The deadline to submit an application is May 2nd, 2022. You can read more about this program on the Alberta Foundation for the Arts' website:

When would you potentially like to do this Residency?
Please note for Alberta schools that the AFA Artists and Education grant deadline is May 2nd, 2022. The Residency would take place during the 2022/2023 school year.
How long would you like the Residency to be?
We can do Residencies that last from 1 day to 3 weeks in duration. Generally we recommend at least 1 week so your students really get the most out of the program.
Would you prefer to do an in-person or virtual residency?
What grades will be participating in the Residency?
How many students will be participating in the Residency?
Would your whole school be participating in the Residency?
Clear selection
What would you like the Residency to focus on? (puppetry, writing and sharing stories, designing, etc.) This can just be a general idea for now, and we can discuss specifics at a later date.
What you put here will not be written in stone, but will serve as a prelude to a conversation with us where we may speak of what we’ve done before, and brainstorm with you about what might be done during the Residency and get a sense of the best course of action for your school.
What do you think is the highest need for your students that we could possibly address with this Residency?
What resources and opportunities exist within the school and community that could be incorporated into this Residency (ie. a music or dance program)?
It is not only extremely powerful to bring in new things to teach your students, but also to explore what's already been started and to build upon that foundation where there is already momentum and interest.
What are the areas your students have interest and experience in?
What are the areas your students would like to explore but haven’t?
Are there any questions you have for us?
