The Austin Flute Society is proud to announce our 2021 Virtual Young Artist Competition.

Junior Division: Grade 7-9
Senior Division: Grade 10-12

Honorable mention

The winner of each division will perform in a masterclass at our virtual flute festival on April 17th, 2021.

DEADLINE:
All applications and submissions are due by 11:59pm on March 17th, 2021. Results will be announced at the Austin Flute Society virtual flute festival on the morning of April 17th, 2021.

ELIGIBILITY:
-All applicants must be members of the Austin Flute Society
-Applicants must submit a $20 contest application fee (payable on the AFS website)
-Past first prize winners are not eligible to compete again

REPERTOIRE:
Junior Division: "Jade" from Three Pieces by Pierre Octave-Ferroud and a solo of the applicant's choosing.
Senior Division: Prelude 1 (Allegro) from Three Preludes by Robert Muczynski and a solo of the applicant's choosing
