BALA is going to Point Fermin Outdoor Education Center
January 31 – February 2, 2025
This camp site is located in San Pedro and displays a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. Students will participate in a real world application of practices and procedures used to extract samples in coastal ecosystems. Students will make observations, apply content knowledge and analyze their samples using college grade microscopes and laboratory equipment.

Cooperation and Work Habits: The student should have a minimum score of “S” (Satisfactory) in both cooperation and work habits. This reflects the student's ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude towards learning.

Safety and Wellbeing: The student must not have engaged in any behavior that would endanger his or others' safety or wellbeing. This ensures that all participants can enjoy a safe and productive experience during the field trip.

Uniform Policy: The student must be compliant with the school's uniform policy. Adhering to the dress code is important for maintaining a sense of unity and discipline.

Cellphone Policy: The student must also comply with the school's cellphone policy. This helps minimize distractions and ensures that students are fully engaged in the field trip activities.

Academic Requirements

Assignment Completion: The student must have completed at least 8 out of every 10 assignments during the grading period preceding the scheduled field trip. This ensures that students are keeping up with their academic responsibilities and are prepared for the learning opportunities the field trip offers. *
