CBMCC Resilience Team - Volunteers Wanted

The CBMCC wishes to recruit local community volunteers to join the CBMCC Resilience Team.

The aim of the CBMCC Resilience Plan is to provide a framework to use local volunteers, facilities, and equipment to assist the official emergency services in the event of a declared emergency within the community area.

Expected emergencies would be:
  • Floods (River Dee, feeder burns overflowing, standing water)
  • Severe weather (snow, ice, heavy rain, high winds)
  • Lengthy loss of utilities (gas, water, electricity),
  • Fires (domestic, residential, industrial or forest fires)
  • Major incidents involving transport (accidents, chemical spills, fires)
  • Disease control (Human and Animal - Quarantine areas)

If you live in the local area and are aged between 16 and 75, and wish to volunteer then we would like to hear from you.

You may contact the Resilience Team Leader (Guus Glass) with queries by telephone or email.
Tel No: 01224 864925 or 07803 141468 or email : GuusGlass@talktalk.net

  • Please note this would not involve payment, as the Community Council does not have any budget for this.
  • If you are willing to help please provide your contact details below.
  • The information you give will be held securely by the community Resilience Team Leader and his/her deputies, and will only be used or divulged when necessary during an incident or emergency.
