Speakers for UDTSEA Conference

We are pleased to announce a call for proposals for the 2026 UDTSEA conference on April 27th, in Cedar City, Utah. The theme this year is "Learning Elevated." Learning Elevated is intended to bring a focus on high-quality learning experiences that are designed to be more effective and impactful.

 

Some example topics include but are not limited to:

  • Personalized learning 
  • Virtual and augmented reality in the classroom
  • Equity, ethics, and inclusion in education and/or curriculum design
  • Creativity, critical thinking, and 21st century skills  
  • Assessment, feedback, and evaluation techniques
  • Online, blended, and active learning strategies
  • Open educational resources and practice
  • Competency based evaluation and grading
  • Fostering student agency and ownership
  • Why "progress" in reducing fatalities is not enough—safety is pass/fail
  • Challenge attendees to rethink their approach to traffic safety.

 

To submit your proposal, please contact Audra Urie by February 6, 2026. You will need to include the following information.

  • Working Presentation title
  • Format: 60-minute interactive session, or roundtable discussion
  • Description of presentation (100-250 words max) 
  • List of co-presenters and their affiliations
