The Maritime Alliance Foundation Blue Economy Summer Immersion Program
The Blue (ocean & water-related) Economy is enormous and growing with good paying blue- and white-collar jobs. Do you want to find out what careers there are in merchant marine, marine science, ocean technology, and more?

Spend 3 days this summer learning about opportunities across the Blue Economy in San Diego and globally!

Open to entering Fall 2020 High School Sophomores,Juniors, and Seniors.

Monday, June 22 – Wednesday, June 24 (Week 2)
Monday, August 3 – Wednesday, August 5 (Week 3)

Program:
-Learn about history, importance & technology of the maritime industry at The Maritime Museum of San Diego.
-Get insight on training & global job opportunities in the merchant marine industry at Training Resources Limited.
-Learn about reseach & local eco-systems from marine science students at SDSU Coastal and Marine Institute
-Hear about exciting companies and Blue Jobs from executives of fast-growing regional BlueTech companies
-Learn valuable skills including those related to boat handling, evolution of maritime technology, marine research, merchant marines, and sail theory and anatomy, as well as communications, networking, problem-solving, and teamwork.
