2021 Tai Tokerau Climate Action Conference
The Climate Change Tai Tokerau Northland Trust and NorthTec, with the support of sponsors Whangarei District Council and Reconnecting Northland invite you to our 2021 Conference.
The conference kaupapa is:
- Raise awareness of ecological regeneration, biodiversity and the water cycle for mitigating and adapting to climate change.
- Raise the mana of mātauranga Māori as a vital foundation for climate mitigation and adaptation.
- Celebrate the diverse action already happening here and link these efforts to climate mitigation and adaptation.
- Expand the canvas for action through enhancing networks, supporting current initiatives and further planning.
The conference will be preceeded by events and field trips throughout Tai Tokerau from Sunday 18 to Wednesday 21 April and include a climate action focus for some Tai Tokerau churches.
Hubs for people in the region wanting to access the conference as a group remotely – so far there will be hubs at Waimamaku and Kaipara.
Free access to the conference will be available via Zoom.
