2020 GRASP Student Application
Beginning JANUARY 7th , we are excited to offer our GRASP (Girls Rock After School Program)! GRASP runs January 7th until March 12th. The showcase takes place on March 14th. Read on for details:

WHO: Girls and gender expansive youth between 8 and 18 years old (3rd-12th grade). All musical experience levels are welcome at GRASP and we provide all of the instruments. No prior musical experience is necessary.

WHEN: GRASP has a flexible schedule! Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:30-6:30pm* from January 7th to March 14th. Students have the option of attending one day per week, Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Junior High and High School students arrival time is between 3:30 and 5:00. Third through sixth grades may arrive as late as 4:15. GRASP ends between 6:15 and 6:30.

Tuesday is instrument instruction day. Students who attend on Tuesdays only are given the option of forming a band and practicing during workshop times.

Thursday is band practice day. Students who only attend on Thursdays are given the option of receiving casual instrument instruction from 3:00 - 3:30. Thursday only enrollment is recommended for experienced students only.

The showcase for all participants will take place on Saturday, March 14th from 2-5pm

Tuition is $0-$450 sliding scale for two day per week attendance and $0-$350 sliding scale for one day per week attendance, with no one turned away for lack of funds. Full and partial financial aid is readily available. If you plan on applying for financial aid, please complete the financial aid application in addition to this application so that we can determine your tuition amount.

It is our mission to be accessible to all students regardless of their families' financial situation. We offer a $0-$450 sliding scale tuition for Tuesday and Thursday attendance and $0-$350 sliding scale tuition for one day per week attendance. Applying for financial aid will not affect your chances of getting into a program and we encourage you to ask for assistance if you need it. We offer full and partial financial aid upon request, and no one is turned away for lack of funds. Liability Release and Media Consent
I understand that attending camp will involve activities such as, but not limited to, a loud environment, self-defense, active group games, short field trips, using electrical equipment and moving heavy equipment and objects. I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs and damages that may incur as a result of the camper's participation in camp activities. *
In case of emergency, accident, illness, or other incapacity occuring while under the Camp's authority, I give my permission for the camper to be treated by medical professionals and admitted to the hospital if necessary. This authorization applies whether or not the charges are covered by my insurance, and I am responsible for all reasonable medical and emergency expenses. *
I authorize Bay Area Girls Rock Camp staff/volunteers to take audio, video and photographic recordings of this camper. Bay Area Girls Rock Camp shall own all rights to recordings and photographs, to be used and disposed of at the discretion of the Bay Area Girls Rock Camp. *
Selecting no means that the camper's band photo and video of their band's performance at the showcase will not be available to view online. Audio, video and photos are primarily used for BAGRC brochures & flyers, and on our website. Camper names are never used without explicit parent/guardian consent; you will be contacted by a staff member before any names are used.
