Survivors and Descendants Family Program: The Number on Great-Grandpa's Arm
Join the Houston Holocaust Survivors and Descendants, together with Holocaust Museum Houston, for an innovative program for children ages 9-12 with a parent(s) and/or grandparent(s). The program will include a screening of the HBO film The Number on Great-Grandpa's Arm. Afterward, the museum’s education department will facilitate group discussions and activities for kids and provide tools for families to continue the conversation at home. The program is open to interested families, whether or not your family includes Holocaust survivors.

The Number on Great-Grandpa's Arm is an 18 minute film in which a ten year old boy talks to his 90 year old great-grandfather about his experiences during the Holocaust. It is designed to be an age-appropriate way to start a conversation about the Holocaust with children.

The program will be held at Holocaust Museum Houston on Sunday, February 1st from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

If you have questions or concerns about the program, please email education@hmh.org.
