Welcome to the Playground Barrio Application for 2020!

Barrio Playground is a communal social experiment  focused on building a playful shadowy chill place. Our success floats greatly on the the principals Community and cooperation, with profound social responsibility toward each other. Together we conquer the desserts uninhibited environment and creating a place to frolic and chill under a cooling tarp. But also create a space for open workshops, and make food to feed the inner souls of it's members, so they are ready to jump the trampolines or venture out on the playa.

We'd like to give everyone a chance to join our little community. We have space for 42 inspiring and dedicated souls.
Each applicant is evaluated individual. Applying doesn't guarantee entrance as we do like to balance the crew. So if you apply as a group, or specific friends please apply together at roughly the same time and refer to one another and will do our best to keep you together as a group.

We've had an overwhelming amount of  applications in already, so applying after this point will get you on the reserve list. Don't panic each year lots of people change plans, so places will open up near the start of nowhere, however if you want to be sure of a camp please don't bet on it.

Our preference is for Facebook. But the like are also acceptable. Though please note, we organize much of the camp's communication via FB, if you don't have it, it will be a challenge to accept you to the camp. Every year we make a poster of all participant and we need a picture.

* Leadership: Start the fun asap and join brainstorming and planning and executing the  Playground adventure*                                                      ** Build is the magical period just before the festival officially kicks off on July 9th. During Build we set up our camp. We need people who are eager to build and work or who want to take care of cooking/fluffing starting 2-3 days beforehand. You already get into the Nowhere spirit and get to know lots of other Builders. Food and drinks are provided by Playground. Please let us know how many days and what you'd like to do. (Max. 12 hippies).                                                                                                                          *** Strike is the period just after the festival (officially ends on the July 12th). During Strike we take down our camp structures, clean (MOOP Sweep) and put everything in our container, .... so we can use all the extra pair of hands. Strike takes 1 day and we need around 10 people. We'll give approx 50% refund of camp fees to those who commit and stay until we close the shipping container!

Participation Event! *
I understand that Nowhere is a participatory event and that my contribution of time and effort to this endeavor is essential to its success. In joining Playground Barrio, I will either have a role within the camp (leadership, build, camp operations) or I will volunteer with the NORG folks for one of the shifts which makes the event possible. I am encouraged to do more than this minimum, as these roles are how connections are made and that’s the whole point
Camp Contribution: €150-200 *
This is to confirm that you understand the Camp contribution is at minimum €150 and maximum €200 for 2020. The exact amount will be communicated latest 01APR2020. Fees will be due 1 month after being accepted to the camp, or 2 weeks before the event whichever is sooner. Other communications from camp leadership regarding due dates may supersede this one.
