Ready to Stay Partner Interest Form
Ready to Stay is a national coalition working to build field capacities and coordination for effective implementation of a large-scale immigration legalization program. Built by organizations who bring legal, field and organizing expertise, Ready to Stay aims to serve as a value-add to the field by centralizing the creation and curation of legal resources, community education tools, capacity building training opportunities, and non-duplicative administrative advocacy that will increase coordination and resources for implementation efforts.
Ready to Stay is led by a steering committee of 17 organizations representing 50 states who serve as anchors to strategy, direction and contribute to the working groups. The coalition is organized by the following seven working groups: 1) Administrative Strategy & Advocacy, 2) Capacity Building, 3) Community Education 4) Communications 5) Fundraising, 6) Legal Training and Technical Assistance and 7) Research.
Ready to Stay welcomes and encourages immigration legal service providers, advocacy, organizing, and community-based organizations to join the coalition as “partner organizations”.
Below is an outline of criteria, expectations and opportunities for Ready to Stay partner organizations:
- Partner organizations serve and/or organize directly with immigrant and refugee communities, whether in a local, state or national capacity
- Partner organizations are committed to being a part of a value-add coalition that aims to maximize the implementation capacities and coordination efforts for a large-scale immigration legalization program
- Partner organizations may be asked to join and participate in working groups and subcommittees consistent with their expertise and value-add to the coalition
- Partner organizations actively share and utilize Ready to Stay material with their networks and communities
- Partner organizations will be invited to take positions on administrative advocacy, legislation and public statements. Partner organizations can sign on or opt out.
- Partner organizations will be publicly named on the Ready to Stay website and external facing materials
- Partner organizations will be approved by the Ready to Stay steering committee
