Job Description: As a Wild Chestnut Cafe team member, you will be cross trained in different areas of the kitchen and front of house including cashier, barista, food prep, cleaning and stocking, dish station, and more. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask without sacrificing accuracy. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!

Objectives and Expectations: 
  • Provides consistent and friendly customer service
  • Arrives to each shift prepared, on time, and ready to go
  • Works well under pressure in a fast paced environment 
  • Communicates and collaborates with other team members
  • Good at following instructions and maintains attention to details
  • Has ability to multitask and lift heavy items
  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchen area and equipment during the assigned shift
  • Responsible for food prep including washing, chopping, and shredding ingredients
  • Prepares meals for customers and assures proper food handling practices
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years old
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Basic knowledge of vegan cooking/food
  • Self starter who is punctual and responsible
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and can stand for extended periods
  • Fast learner, strong work ethic, time management skills, and multitasking abilities
  • Experience in customer service and front of house (preferred but not required)
  • ServSafe Certification and Allergen Awareness Certification (preferred by not required)
