What does "Sensory Friendly" mean to you?
Sunderland Public Library has received a grant to make our library more accessible for our neurodivergent patrons. One way we hope to accomplish this is to begin offering Sensory Friendly Hours. We need your help to design our Sensory Friendly Hours so that they are accessible, comfortable, and welcoming for all of our patrons.

Sensory Friendly Hours will be held on Thursdays from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, starting July 10th.

Do you have more you want to share? Please contact Katherine Umstot, Library Director, any time! She can be reached at (413) 665-2642 or director@sunderlandpubliclibrary.org. She always welcomes visitors in her office at the library too.

Sensory Friendly Hours are sponsored by the Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Libraries grant. This grant is an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA) in collaboration with the Association for Small & Rural Libraries.
