2017 MMEA-ED Senior Scholarship Application Form
The Eastern District MMEA has established four $1,000 scholarships to be awarded to four graduating seniors who plan to major in music at an accredited four-year college music program beginning in the Fall 2017. The online application deadline is SATURDAY APRIL 1ST. Applications will be reviewed in April by a scholarship committee and the winners will be notified in May. Winners will also be acknowledged in the 2018 Sr. District Festival concert program.
Eligibility
A. The applicant must be a graduating senior and be accepted as a music major in an accredited college music program.

B. The applicant must be a fully participating member of one of the 2017 Sr. District Ensembles (Band, Chorus, Jazz Ensemble or Orchestra) during their senior year.

C. Applicants must also be active members of their school music program and show strong academic success in their school.

Application Procedure
All applications are to be submitted by SATURDAY APRIL 1ST and include the following items:
A. Completed online application form
B. A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s school ensemble director
C. High school transcripts reflecting grades through the first semester of your senior year.

Applicants must also submit a copy of their college acceptance letter as proof of their acceptance before the scholarship check will be issued.

After submitting online application, mail or email supporting application materials (recommendation letter and transcripts) to the MMEA-ED Scholarship Committee at the following address:
