About SisTers PGH
SisTers PGH is a community-oriented non-profit that champions the rights and well-being of transgender people, particularly trans people of color. Founded on the principles of trauma-informed care, Sisters PGH provides a sanctuary and support network through services such as housing assistance, emergency support, and educational programs. Our approach ensures that every interaction is handled with empathy, understanding, and respect for the trauma our clients may have experienced trauma.
Thank you for your interest in supporting SisTers PGH through our Stonewall Inn Volunteer and Intern Program! Volunteers and interns play a vital role in keeping our community spaces running smoothly and ensuring that trans and nonbinary individuals have access to essential resources.
We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to help at the Trans Resource Center and assist with setting up Monica Roberts Place. Volunteers can sign up for specific roles and shifts based on their availability.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

π Monica Roberts Place (Setup & Organization) β Assist with setting up our food and toiletry pantry, organizing supplies, and assembling furniture.
