The 13th Annual Henry Dale Smith Public Speaking Competition
Henry Dale Smith '47 became one of the most successful businessmen to ever graduate from The Citadel in large part because of his ability to sell himself, his ideas, and his company. His gift back to our school helped develop The Public Speaking Lab where students, faculty, and staff develop successful communication skills to help lead inside and outside the classroom. We honor Smith's legacy by calling the most passionate, intellectual, and ambitious speakers to the stage for a chance to win money and recognition.
