MASA ED Talks: 2018 Midwinter Conference
MASA ED Talks allow colleagues to share ideas and learn from each other in the form of short, informative, and inspiring speeches that are 10 minutes or less. ED Talks have been featured at the last two MASA conferences, and survey results indicate that this feature is one of the most valuable sessions from each conference.

ED Talks will be delivered during the second general session of MASA’s 2018 Midwinter Conference on Thursday, January 25. Up to six ED Talks will be selected for this session. The focus of ED Talks for the Midwinter Conference will be initiatives, programs, or practices that are focused on, and truly making a difference for, children in a genuine and focused way. Priority will be given to both proven and nontraditional practices that help ensure that children are ready to learn (regardless of grade level) as well as instructional practices that are proven to be successful. There are no visual aids (e.g. Power Points) used during an ED Talk, with the focus being on the speaker and what he or she is saying.

Any MASA member interested in presenting an MASA ED Talk at the 2018 Midwinter Conference should complete the form below and submit it no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, December 8. All applicants will be notified by Friday, December 15, regarding the status of their application. This opportunity is open only to MASA members. All ED Talks will be recorded and shared online.
