Walk 4 the Salish Sea May 25-28 Registration for lodging, food, walking
Thank you for your interest in joining the Walk 4 the Salish Sea: Against Tar Sands, Kinder Morgan and Fossil Fuel Expansion! We encourage everyone to join the Walk for whatever distance or duration fits your comfort level, needs and time availability.

Those joining during the day who do not wish to overnight with the group do not need to register.

Core participants who wish to be provided with overnight accommodation and communal dinners must register.
Registration fees include a simple communal vegetarian dinner, entertainment, camping and a support vehicle to carry gear. Fees will be 15$ / per person per night. Registrants are required to pay in advance for all nights they will be joining the Walk (eg 3 nights/ $45). If you can, please make this payment as soon as possible so that we can use the funds to prepare in advance.

All participants must be in sufficient physical condition, be fully self-reliant for water, breakfasts, snacks and lunches and whatever you need for self-care while on the trip. Shopping while en route will not be encouraged so as to avoid lost time waiting for people.
All participants crossing over from Swartz Bay, the Gulf islands to Tsawassen or other crossings from the U.S are responsible for their own ferry costs.

Payment can be made by e-transfer to walk4salishsea@gmail.com (please email us separately with the password to accept it), or cheques can be made out to Social Environmental Alliance (make sure to include "walk registration" as a memo). Cheques can be mailed to

Please fill out the questionnaire below to let us know more about you, how far you expect to be travelling, where you will be meeting up with the Walk and leaving it and whether you are able to pay the registration fee and more. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds, but everyone needs to be able to look after themselves on the 4-day journey. If you have special considerations let us know how we can best accommodate you.

Fundraising:
Donations to the walk will go to fund UBCIC's Coast Protector program and to support frontline Indigenous resistance and direct action. Above and beyond your registration fees, donations can be made at: http://walk4salishsea.ca/donate-and-pledge/

In addition, participants may choose to sign up for RAVEN's pull together campaign in support of Tsleil-Waututh, Coldwater and Squamish First Nations' legal challenges against the Kinder Morgan pipeline. Visit www.pull-together.ca, join our team "Walk 4 the Salish Sea" and get people to sponsor you on the walk.
