UMBC DANCE Visit Day Registration
DATE: Friday, October 18, from 8 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
*Optional campus tour from 2 – 2:30 p.m.

The UMBC Dance Department is pleased to invite high-achieving, talented dance high school seniors who are interested in studying dance, to a unique experience of the life of a dance student at UMBC. The day includes three sample classes in Ballet, Contemporary/Modern, and Improvisation/Composition taught by UMBC dance instructors. Meet current students and faculty, and learn about our programs and scholarship opportunities. Lunch in the Dining Hall with UMBC dance students is provided. There is also an optional tour of the campus.  

UMBC offers a B.A. in Dance and a Minor in Dance. Many of our students have a second major or minor.  Some are enrolled in a UMBC pre-professional or pre-med program, or are pursuing certification in dance education, or are enrolled in a certificate program in another discipline.

Schedule for the Day:
8:00 - Arrival and Check-In
8:30 - Ballet Barre
9:15 - Contemporary/Modern
10:25 - Choreography Workshop
11:30 - Meet UMBC dance students, faculty and admissions
12:30 - Lunch (provided)
2:00 - 2:30 - Optional Campus Tour
