Students should attend school on a daily basis during the school year.  However, there are circumstances in which students need to miss school for an extended period of time.  Independent Study is for students who plan to be away from school for a minimum of 3 days but no more than 14 days.  The students will receive their Independent Study packet from their teacher on the last day of school prior to their absence. They will need to complete the assigned work and then turn it back in to their teacher the day they return to school. Once the teacher evaluates their work, the students' absences will be excused.  To request an Independent Study, complete this form. You will need to notify us at least two weeks in advance in order to process your request.  Requests for Independent Study for the first 2 weeks of school or the last 2 weeks of school will not be approved.
