CoTESOL 2021 - Call for Fall Convention Proposals!
CoTESOL invites TESOL professionals to submit proposals for our 44th Annual Fall Convention, which will take place on November 5 and 6, 2021. The CoTESOL Board of Directors is currently planning for this event to have a hybrid format with both in-person and online sessions. You can indicate your preferences below, in item 7a.
CoTESOL will accept workshops, discussions, panels, papers, demonstrations, and teaching tips across all levels of TESOL instruction, administration, and research. Sessions can span a range of topics related to multilingual learners, including: remote and online instruction, targeting specific language skills, building academic language, teaching refugee-background learners, assessment, curriculum development, policy frameworks, advocacy, and more!
All proposals will be reviewed anonymously and evaluated by CoTESOL board members. Proposals that include current research citations and are aligned to CDE's Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Quality Standards for English Learner Educators (
) are especially welcome.
CoTESOL conventions regularly attract hundreds of attendees from all levels of ESL (i.e. K-12, adult ed, intensive English programs, higher ed, workplace ed, literacy, etc.). In addition to Colorado, many people come from neighboring states and around the country. CoTESOL conventions are an ideal place for first-time presenters because of the welcoming atmosphere and hospitable environment.
Please Note: This form is for submitting a proposal to present only. All presenters must register for the event on a separate form.
