The Happy Fish Project’s vision is to Rewild the Oceans by supporting sustainable and regenerative fishing practices across the entire supply chain, from Fisher-Farmers through to consumers.

Our approach is backed by strong scientific research through Sustainable Australian Seafood Assessment Limited (SASAL). The assessments are designed for Australia's unique diverse marine ecosystems and smaller scale artisanal fisheries.

COSTS
The scientists and Happy Fish are committed to keeping costs affordable and high-quality assessments accessible for smaller scale fisher-farmers. Depending on your produce, the assessment process and availability of public information, assessments range between $7,000 - $20,000. Costs are fully disclosed & agreed upon before any work is commenced.

Note: We regard seafood to include all aquatic ‘blue’ foods that are caught or farmed in marine and freshwater ecosystems. Yes, our assessments include products from river-based fisheries and land-based aquaculture and not just the ‘sea’.
