CNH District Convention Sergeant at Arms Registration
Your club needs to assign at least two (2) volunteers to serve as Sergeant at Arms (SAA) at convention.

Serving as a SAA is an opportunity for members to become involved in an important position in our District's largest event while serving their fellow Key Club members. This distinguished position requires reliable and responsible people. Please choose wisely because these people will represent your club, school and Key Club District.

Convention should be a fun and memorable experience for all who attend. By providing volunteers to help with the SAA program, your club will help make our convention run as smoothly as possible. The people your club selects must attend the SAA meeting on Friday before the first workshop session. The individuals registered will be informed of their duties at the time of registration at the SAA table.

The individuals selected will be a vital element to the success of our convention. Volunteers will assist in some of the following areas:

> Monitoring doors before & during each session
> Identifying & assisting with convention logistics
> Assisting attendees with directions
> Monitoring halls and enforcing curfew
> Helping with enforcement of dress code & code of conduct
> Checking credentials in House of Delegates

Shift Preference: SAA volunteers will now have their shifts set prior to District Convention. Using this section of the form will allow SAA volunteers to request a preferred day or general time in which their shift will take place without the interference of other convention activities. Shift preferences will be given priority to those who register early.

SAA Certification: This form certifies that the Club has selected the Key Club members and chaperones named as convention SAA volunteers.

SAA Registration Confirmation: Each volunteer registered before convention will be contacted by the SAA Coordinator with basic responsibilities and tips of being a SAA volunteer, reminders about the SAA workshop, and other information as available.

Thank you for contributing to the success of our convention and our organization. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact DCON Chair Michelle Le ( or SAA Coordinator Andrew Yang (
