Open Call: News from Nowhere, Walthamstow Garden Party 2019
We are delighted to announce that Walthamstow Garden Party will return to Lloyd Park on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th July 2019. This community-powered festival with a global line-up brings together over 30,000 people for a weekend of inspiring music, dance and culture from around the borough and world.

For this year’s News from Nowhere programme we are launching an open call for submissions of interest to deliver participatory performances (music/ dance/ theatre/ workshops/ movement/ activities/ wellbeing/ sport/ other) on the News from Nowhere stage or around the park (walkabout/ pop up/ site specific).

News from Nowhere has a focus on participatory performance and in the past has hosted: dance, circus, theatre, movement, tai chi, walk about performances, drumming, workshops, music, demos and much more.

Do you have an idea for a participatory performance/ workshop that you would like to pitch for this year’s Walthamstow Garden Party? Tell us a bit about it in the form below.

We will be teaming up with our Creative Citizens to hold a decision-making panel. More information on the Creative Citizens can be found here: www.barbican.org.uk/creative-citizens

Successful applicants will be contacted beginning of May. Unfortunately, individual feedback will not be available due to volume of interest.
