TOURNAMENT RULES
RSU Freshmens sport day
September 7, 2023

1. MĒRĶIS UN UZDEVUMI
1.1. Popularizēt volejbolu kā sporta veidu, aktīvas un veselīgas atpūtas iespēju
Rīgas Stradiņa universitātē;
1.2. Iesaistīt “RSU Pirmkursnieku sporta diena” Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes studentus, tādējādi veicinot fiziskās aktivitātes iespējas studentu vidū;
1.3. Noskaidrot spēcīgāko “RSU Pirmkursnieku sporta diena” komandu;
1.4. Turpināt “RSU Pirmkursnieku sporta diena” kā ikgadēju tradīciju.

1. OBJECTIVES AND TASKS
1.1. To increase the popularity of volleyball as a sports game and to facilitate the possibilities for active and healthy lifestyle at Riga Stradiņš University;
1.2. To involve RSU students in the activities organized within the framework of the RSU Freshmen's sport day, therewith facilitating active lifestyle opportunities among students;
1.3. To determine the strongest "RSU Freshmen's Sports day" championship team;
1.4. To introduce the "RSU Freshmens Sports day" as an annual tradition.

2. SACENSĪBU LAIKS UN VIETA
2.1. “RSU Pirmkursnieku sporta diena” sacensības notiek 2023. gada 7.septembrī, ceturtdienā no plkst.11:00 – 16:00;
2.2. Vieta – Rīga, Cigoriņu iela 3.

2. TIME AND VENUE
2.1. RSU Freshmen's sport day, Volleyball Tournament will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at: 11:00 – 16:00;
2.2. Venue: Riga, Cigorinu str.3.

3. KOMANDU PIETEIKŠANĀS KĀRTĪBA
3.1. Kopējais komandas pieteikums jāiesniedz elektroniski līdz 06.09.2023. plkst.23:15
3.2. Pieteikumam jābūt aizpildītam precīzi un ar patiesu informāciju.

3. TEAM REGISTRATION
3.1. A duly completed team registration form is to be submitted by 06.09.2023, 23:15
in electronic form;
3.2. The information presented in the registration form should be precise and accurate.

5. SACENSĪBU DALĪBNIEKI
5.1. Sacensībās aicināti piedalīties jaunuzņemtie RSU studenti;
5.2. Sacensību laikā dalībnieks var spēlēt tikai vienā komandā;
5.3. Katrs sacensību dalībnieks atbild par savam veselības stāvoklim atbilstošu slodzi, ko attiecīgi pieteikumā apliecina ar savu personīgo parakstu;

5. PARTICIPANTS
5.1. The participants of the tournament shall be the RSU students;
5.2. Each student may present only one team;
5.3. Each participant of the tournament shall be responsible for the compliance of the physical activities to his/her health condition what shall be accordingly attested by affixing one’s signature to the registration form.

6. SACENSĪBU NOTEIKUMI
6.1. “RSU Pirmkursnieku sporta diena” sacensības notiks 4:4 (četri pret četri);
6.2. Komandā var būt gan sieviešu, gan vīriešu kārtas pārstāvji;
6.3. Komandā var pieteikt 5 spēlētājus;
6.4. Spēles notiks pēc spēkā esošiem starptautiskajiem FIVB noteikumiem ar oficiālajām Molten spēļu bumbām;
6.4.1. Servētājs nedrīkst uzbrukt un bloķēt pretinieku;
6.4.2. Komandas spēlē vienu setu līdz 15 punktiem (15. punkts pēdējais)
6.4.3. Tīkla augstums 2,38 m;
6.5. Tiek uzskatīts, ka komanda nav ieradusies uz spēli un piešķirts zaudējums, ja 3 minūšu laikā pēc spēļu noteiktā grafika uz spēles sākuma ir ieradušies mazāk par 4 komandas dalībniekiem;
6.6. Punktu skaitīšanas sistēma:
• Par uzvarētu spēli komanda saņem 1 punktus;
• Par zaudētu spēli – 0 punktu;
• Par neierašanos uz spēli – 0 punktus;

6. TOURNAMENT PLAY
6.1. The Volleyball tournament will be played in 4 on 4 format;
6.2. The team may consist of both male and female players;
6.3. Team rosters are limited to 5 players;
6.4. Matches will be played according to the official FIVB rules and with the official Molten balls;
6.4.1. The player serving the ball may not attack and block;
6.4.2. Teams shall play one set to 15 points (15th point is the ultimate)’;
6.4.3. Net height 2.38 m.
6.5. It shall be regarded that the team has not arrived to the game and the game is a forfeit, if 3 minutes after the scheduled start time of the game less than four players of the team have arrived;
6.6. Awarding of points:
• Won game – 1 point;
• Lost game – 0 points;
• Non-arrival – 0 points;

7. VOLEJBOLA SPĒĻU SISTĒMA
7.1. Sacensības norit divos posmos;
7.1.1. Pamatturnīrs, kurā piedalās visas pieteiktās komandas. Tās tiek sadalītas pa apakšgrupām, atkarībā no pieteikumu skaita. Maksimālais komandu skaits apakšgrupā ir 4 komandas. Pamatturnīra sacensībās izspēlēs katra komanda ar katru.
7.1.2. Finālposms, katras apakšgrupas 1. un 2.vietas ieguvēji turpina cīņu par balvām RSU “Pirmkursnieku sporta diena” Tiek izspēlēta gan 1.,2.,3. vieta;

7. GAME SETUP
7.1. The tournament will be organized in two stages:
7.1.1. Pool games involving all registered teams. The teams are divided into sub-groups, depending on the number of registered teams; the maximum number of teams per each sub-group shall be 4. Each team plays one match against all other teams in its pool.
7.1.2. Finals, 1st and 2nd ranked teams from each pool will advance to compete for prizes. Within the framework of RSU Freshmens Sports’ Day both “the golden” and “the bronze” games will be played.

8. TIESNEŠI
8.1. Sacensību laikā spēļu tiesnešus nodrošina organizatori.

8. REFEREES
8.1. Referees shall be provided by the organizers of the event.

9. APBALVOŠANA
9.1 Ar balvām tiek apbalvotas 1., 2. un 3.vietas.

9. PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY
9.1 Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
