Equity: What I Wish I Would Have Known
On September 1, we will host an intimate event in NYC for women to share their successes and failures when it comes to equity. Guest speakers Kathy Leake (Local Response)  and Jeanne Sullivan (Starvest Partners) will lead the conversation.

We will explore the topic from 3 perspectives 1) the start up founder, 2) the C-level employee, and 3) the investor, with the end goal of equipping you with the knowledge you need to create wealth. To ensure that we are covering the topics most needed by the start up community, we are crowdsourcing questions and shared experiences. There is no question too big or too small.

Given the sensitive nature of the topic, confidentiality will be respected when sharing stories at the event. (What gets said in the room, stays in the room)

If you are interested in RSVP'ing: http://www.suwn.org/eventDetails.aspx?d=1071c2e3-b54e-35fd-12c9-a08decf96f2d

All proceeds benefit the teen programs of the Step Up Women's Network.

What is your most burning equity question?
(e.g., What does "taking money off the table" mean? What is a reasonable % equity for me to negotiate?)
If you have been in the trenches, what do you wish you would have known?
(e.g., I didn't negotiate single trigger acceleration. I didn't understand the tax implications of exercising options)
Is there anything else you'd like for us to cover?
